Mary was a matriarch with an amazing ability of compassion and understanding of you and your thoughts. She was a very very wise owl and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Mary.

Mary was always a force to be reckoned with, steadfast in her opinions and unwavering in her faith; despite her own problems, she always found time for others. 'Mary's Meanderings' in the church newsletter were always a delight to read, often bringing tears of laughter. In short, Mary was, and will remain, an inspiration.

Mary was the most compassionate person I have ever known. Despite her own problems she always made time to genuinely ask how I was. She was my Tim's first Sunday School teacher and he adored her. I miss your laughter and robust singing. R.I.P. dear Mary.

Mary - you were an inspiration to us all. Your strength in overcoming the many trials of life. Your strong faith that sustained you. You would listen and reflect back in such a wise manner. Your sense of humour - we will miss that laugh of yours and your enthusiastic singing. Your welcome to all newcomers to church. We love and miss you, can't believe you have left us to join all those loved ones in heaven.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
